In each day we all have 24 hours and we all want to make the most of these precious hours. Time is precious, it flows like a river never to come back. However, some people achieve more from everyone else comparing to the same amount of time! Conscious time management will enable you to successfully at manage time. In this article, we tried to focus on some easy practices you should try to manage your time efficiently.

Complete the important tasks first: This is a primary rule of time management. Identify the two or three tasks that are the most urgent to complete each day, and do those first. The day has already been a success once you’re done with those crucial tasks . You’ve finished the essential and can move to other things.

Create a time schedule: Try to find out where your time goes throughout the day. Make a proper routine of your daily work. Allocate time for each tasks and try to finish it in that time limit. In other word, put a time limit on each tasks.

Avoid doing “half-work”: In working hours we have constant distractions from social media or  other sources. In such cases, we may not complete a work and keep it for later. We should avoid this and finish a work when started.

Leave a reserve time between tasks and meetings: Jumping immediately from one task or meeting to the next may seem like a good use of  time, but it actually has the opposite effect. We should take our time to clear and recharge our minds.  After all, the human brain can only focus for about 90 minutes at a time.

Block out distractions: When working on focused tasks try to block out any possible distractions. Distractions not only extend your time for that work but also cause you errors. Channel your attention by working at only one monitor and opening only one window.

Don’t strive for perfection: Instead of indulging in perfectionism, keep the big picture in mind. Try to become exceptional. In order to do that, you must fail repeatedly and learn from your mistakes. Look at every effort as an experiment – a valuable step on your journey, no matter what the outcome.

Avoid getting hung up on small details: Focus on your priorities instead of the minute details of your work. Address the most important tasks on your hand and don’t sweat the small stuff. Don’t allow unimportant details to drag you down.

Organise your inbox: People with untidy inboxes spend so much time on email than others. The best way to speed up email communication and waste less time on unnecessary exchanges is to organise your inbox.

Sleep well and early: Researchers have found that sleeping less to create more task-oriented time leads to trouble. Tired people delay more and get distracted easily. Give your brain at least eight hours of sleep every night.
